Whatever It Takes

Project GRAD helps Disadvantaged studentsTo a greater extent than ever before, educational attainment will determine one’s quality of life, and the direction of our nation’s economy. Project GRAD believes that the public education crisis is a challenge we must embrace and attack as a community and as a nation to ensure educational opportunities and college access for economically disadvantaged students.

Project GRAD is spearheading a college-bound solution and impacting the lives and futures of over 121,900 students from low-income communities across the country. Project GRAD has a proven track record nationwide in increasing high school graduation and college attendance rates for low-income students.

Project GRAD Los Angeles
Principal Leaders

Project GRAD Los Angeles knows that in the world of struggling schools individual leaders, particularly principals and district administrators, are overburdened and isolated when faced with the overwhelming responsibility of serving economically disadvantaged communities.  Because school principals typically are isolated leaders on their own campuses, GRAD LA organized “The Dream Team,” a group of eight GRAD elementary school principals who meet on a weekly basis at the GRAD LA office to problem-solve, share resources, and plan collaboratively on special projects.  These meetings offer a safe-haven for principals not only to discuss their unique challenges with their peer group, but also to brainstorm and carry-out special programs.  Click here to read more.
